Finding The Perfect Sports For My Personality

I have always loved to get outside and enjoy a little fresh air, which is probably one of the reasons I was drawn to recreation and sports in the first place. However, I quickly realized that there were a few different things that made me a great candidate to play sports, so I started talking with different teams about joining up. After I joined a community kickball league, I really became close to some of my friends that played with me. This blog is all about finding the perfect kind of sport for your personality, so that you can feel great and stay active.

Motocross Riding Gear Guide

If you are thinking of getting involved in motocross, then you really need to learn all you can about protection. You will be entering a sport that is very exciting, but also dangerous. This is not the type of sport that you can go into while you slowly purchase your protective gear a little bit at a time. From day one of getting on that bike, you want to be geared up in the best protective wear possible. This way, you know you have done all you possibly can to keep yourself as safe as possible and decrease your chances of sustaining a more serious injury. Here is information on the necessary gear you will need to make sure you protect yourself from head to toe, literally:

Brand new racing helmet: You need to make sure you are using a brand-new racing helmet, not a hand me down or one that was purchased used. The reason for this is you need to know what the helmet has been through. Once a helmet takes a hard hit, it should be replaced. Otherwise, it may not protect you the way that it is supposed to. If you are not 100% sure of the history of a helmet, then the best thing you can do is to ass on it and buy a new one.

Racing gloves: You want to protect your hands with racing gloves that have been specially designed for motocross. These specific gloves will bend how you need them to, help you to grip the way you need and protect your hands if you do end up taking a fall. When you are trying on gloves, make sure you don't stop looking for that perfect pair until you find ones that aren't tight or loose. Otherwise, they can end up interfering with your driving skills.

Racing pants: You'll also want to get yourself a long-sleeved racing shirt and racing pants. The reason for wearing racing attire is it is breathable, but will also offer you some added protection if you fall. The material it is specifically made from will lessen the amount of scratches you endure, and the thickness of the pants can even prevent other injuries. The padded seat also makes for a more comfortable ride.

Racing boots: Racing boots will help your ankles and feet stabilize during your ride and they will protect you in the case of an accident by reducing your risks of bumps, scratches and even sprains and breaks.

Riding goggles: You'll want to protect your eyes with a good pair of racing goggles, such as 509 goggles. They allow you to see clearly, while keeping your eyes safe from wind, dust, debris and mud.
